We are already enjoying the atmosphere of the New Year 2025, an amazing one indeed even to mathematicians when they apply their mathematical jargons. Some call it a perfect year from the angle of square root. It is amazing because quite a good number of us readers are not gifted in this. Just fancy someone telling you that 2025 is a perfect Square in that, 45 (squared) is equal to 2025. All in all, for all humanity is to thank God Almighty for this noble gift of life to experience the year 2025.
Let us now look back to the expectations and wishes that we had set to accomplish. One obvious fact is that, many schools had laid down strategies to implement before year end but didn’t due to hurdles here and there. If each of us uses only his or her own script to read, we cannot go far. The issue is to bond, whereby Team building and Teamwork becomes our corporate strength as institutions. Let us use the same script that will give us the vocabulary and all the literary devices needed to make life a success. These devices will connect all of us as one big family, especially during this time of the Year of Hope. We can only progress if, as pilgrims of hope we take the journey together and make the first step. This will unite all the stakeholders from families, students, teachers, B.O.M. and all Literary stakeholders from the Ministry of Education. That’s how we will start realizing the progress towards a better nation. A Nation where all the citizens journey together as one family in all dimensions.
This is also the to time to revisit what we worked for last Year. The Academic Results have been announced by the Minister for Education, Mr. Julius Migos Ogamba, Fate has actually pleased some and disfavoured others. It is the time reconsider what we did best and where we went wrong. This means new strategies must be put in place to make analysis and find out the best step to take in order to capture the mitigation measures in the 2025 Academic Plan.
Exam preparation, like in the past years is about the completion of the syllabus coverage, content mastery, mastery of the art of the examining and compensating for teaching-learning loopholes. All the four key pillars mentioned must be inclusive in the 2025 Academic Activity Planning.
Let us take the chance as a new slate of new hope. With the new focus and commitment where all are inclusive, there is no reason why we should not succeed and enjoy the outcome. God blesses each of us differently, but He also requires us to follow the principle of subsidiarity, where each one fulfils and complements the efforts of that other colleague or comrade. Our success must rhyme with the proportional level of investiment. Some will certainly enjoy the fruits of their labour while others will not, if the level of preparedness and investiture is wanting.
The time ahead must be planned for if the year 2025 is going to be a success to us. Difficulties are not identified with years, they are identified with personal manipulation of time and space. God has given the whole creation to us human beings to till and enjoy the fruits. Let the new year favour you as you approach it with a better and bigger vision for which you will commit yourself toward reaping the fruits of the seed that you sow.
Time is to short to make wrangles day in day out instead of making good plans, especially in the world of academia, the source of knowledge.
